West Bromwich Albion's Kim Do-heon believes he will return a better player when he recovers from a knee injury.

The midfielder damaged his medial knee ligament during West Brom's 1-0 win over Middlesbrough last month and is expected to be sidelined for about two months.

Speaking to the Korean press, the 26-year-old is disappointed by the injury but is confident of making a successful return in eight weeks time.

Disappointing

"The season has started well so it is a bit disappointing to be injured at this time. I have been playing well and so has the rest of the team," he said.

"But these things do happen and I'm going to return stronger than ever.

"It is still early into the season so there are a lot of opportunities for me later."

The South Korean international will also miss his country's key World Cup qualifiers against United Arab Emirates and Saudi Arabia over the next two months.
