Bednar: Pleased with form
West Brom striker Roman Bednar sees no reason why The Baggies cannot achieve a safe mid-table finish this season.
Tony Mowbray's troops were being tipped for a swift return to The Championship, but a run of three wins out of four has seen them climb into ninth position.
Bednar was the hero for West Brom on Saturday as his goal gave the Midlands outfit a crucial 1-0 success over out-of-form Fulham at The Hawthorns.
"We've said in the dressing room that if each of us performs to their ability, and if we do well, we can stay in the middle of the table," he told Pravo.
West Brom have played the likes of Arsenal and Aston Villa so far this season and Bednar believes they have performed well considering the quality of the opposition.
"We've played some decent teams and it's a fantastic start to the season for us," he continued. "It's important to get home wins. It's the start we wanted and the points are coming.
"Last season in the Championship there were some decent teams and both Hull and Stoke, who have also been promoted, beat us so I don't think it's a coincidence that we are all doing okay.
"Here we work hard, we have decent players and I've never thought that we will go down. People may say that but we have to prove them wrong.
"There are definitely goals in this team - and we are capable of scoring still more goals. It's hard at this level but we have been unlucky."
