Di Matteo: Looking to strengthen
West Brom boss Roberto Di Matteo is hoping to have money to spend during the January transfer window.
The Baggies currently top the Championship table and are the highest scorers in the second tier.
They are expected to be among those pushing for promotion come the end of the season, with their squad brimming with Premier League experience.
Di Matteo, though, believes there is always room for improvement and the Italian admits he has already requested funds to allow him to strengthen in the New Year.
He said: "I have asked for some money. Will I get it? Let's wait and see, but I have asked.
"We have a number of targets but we will see how we are in January. We still have seven more games to play before then - but that's what we are hoping, to improve the squad.
"I am not thinking or planning for next season. When I'm asking to improve the squad, I'm thinking about this season.
"The moment you think you are too good for this division, you are going to get punished as soon as you lower your guard."
