Wolves star Andy Keogh has signed a new long-term contract, skysports.com understands.

The Republic of Ireland international has finalised the extension which sees him tied to Molineux until 2012.

Keogh was already under contract until 2011, but now the club have moved to secure his future and extended his stay by a further 12 months.

Keogh, who began his career with Leeds, joined Wolves from Scunthorpe in 2007 when the club paid £600,000 for his services.

The 22-year-old made his international debut in 2007 and scored his first goal for his country earlier this season for Giovanni Trapattoni, a strike which was voted international goal of the year.
