Wolves midfielder Kevin Foley is hoping his team-mates can maintain their recent level of performance against Burnley this weekend.

The Midlanders have given a good account of themselves of late, although they have emerged pointless from their last three league outings.

Mick McCarthy's men were unlucky to claim nothing from the visit of Manchester United; a result that leaves them level on points with their weekend opponents.

The 25-year-old knows Burnley, like Wolves, are scrapping for their lives and is expecting a tough encounter against Brian Laws' men.

No impact

"Whether we've been home or away in the last couple of months it hasn't really affected us," explained Foley.

"We've still gone about our business and were unlucky at Bolton in our last away game and played well against Manchester United.

"We've given a good account of ourselves, both away and against some big teams at home, and hopefully we will carry that on this weekend."

Foley added: "We won't be taking Burnley lightly by any means. They are scrapping just like us to stay in this division.

"It's going to be a tough game and probably even a bigger one than Manchester United.

Commitment

"But we'll go there full of commitment and desire and looking to take three points from the game."

Wolves turned in one of their poorest performances at Turf Moor in the Championship last season, but Foley insists revenge is not on their agenda.

Foley said: "It's not about putting anything right although we played badly at Burnley last season.

"It's just about the here and now, going up there being solid and taking our chances when we get them."
