Wolves have confirmed that goalkeeper Marcus Hahnemann's Molineux stay has been extended for a second year.
The USA international signed an initial one-year deal following his summer move from Reading which included a clause for a further 12 months.
Having preserved their Premier League status and Hahnemann making the required number of appearances an additional spell to his deal has been automatically triggered.
Hahnemann suffered relegation with the Royals during their second season in the top flight and is eager to avoid a repeat with his new club.
"It's great that the contract is all sorted and kicks in automatically," he told the club's official website.
"I'm really enjoying it here and we've really settled in. My wife is happy, the kids are happy and I've got another shot at the Premier League.
"It always seems to be that little bit tougher the second season.
"We were on a very quick learning curve this season but now we've faced everyone we know exactly what it is we'll have to do.
"Our team has got stronger as the year went on.
"At Reading we had a great start and surprised a lot of people and those early points kept us up.
"At Wolves we steadily got better and it started to really click from about halfway onwards."
