Sheffield Wednesday manager Alan Irvine will keep a close eye on trialist Adriano Moke's progress during pre-season.

Moke has been training with the Owls as Irvine builds toward the start of the new League One campaign, which gets underway against Dagenham & Redbridge on 7th August.

The youngster was given a run-out against local side Stocksbridge Park Steels on Tuesday after Giles Coke sustained an injury that ruled him out of the clash.

Irvine was not in attendance to keep tabs on the winger but received positive reports on the 20-year-old's performance in South Yorkshire.

The Wednesday boss was watching another select XI team beat Hallam FC and he said Moke would be monitored ahead of the new season.

Irvine told the club's official website: "Adriano is a product of the Glenn Hoddle Academy and we're taking a look at him.

"I was at Hallam FC on Tuesday, but I am told that he did well against Stocksbridge, so we'll continue to see what he can do."
