Skysports.com has learnt Plymouth winger Craig Noone has signed a new one-year contract at Home Park.

The 22-year-old arrived at the Championship outfit from Southport in 2008 and has made steady progress ever since.

A spell at Exeter earlier in the campaign whetted his appetite for regular football and since returning to Plymouth he has achieved just that with his parent club.

Pilgrims boss Paul Mariner is a fan of the player and has made no secret of his desire to keep him at his disposal.

After a period of negotiations a deal has now been thrashed out for a one-year extension that ties Noone to the club until 2011.
