League Two leaders Morecambe and Rotherham United will hope to garner wins this weekend and maintain their advantage at the top of the table.

Morecambe, who have picked up 17 points from eight matches, are in pole position because of a superior goal difference and are at 17th-placed Dagenham & Redbridge on Saturday afternoon.

Also on Saturday, Rotherham travel to Torquay to take on Martin Ling's side but could struggle given that their hosts are just four points behind them in sixth.

Any slip-up from the top two would be hugely welcomed by Port Vale and Shrewsbury Town, who confront each other at Vale Park. Both have picked up 14 points so far and will aspire to close the gap on Morecambe and Rotherham.

Cheltenham Town, Burton Albion, Crawley Town and Southend United all have collected 13 points and will be looking to further increase their tally.

Cheltenham, who drew 2-2 with Torquay away from home on Tuesday, are on the road this time too, as they face AFC Wimbledon in London.

Burton, fresh from their 1-0 defeat of Crewe Alexandra in midweek, host Swindon Town, who are a point behind them in 10th.

Crawley will hope to bounce back from their 3-0 loss to Swindon at home on Tuesday with a positive result against third-from-bottom Bradford City, while Southend should bag maximum points from their home fixture against rock-bottom Plymouth.

Oxford United and Bristol Rovers have made good starts to the 2011/12 campaign and will hope to sustain that form..

Oxford are away at 19th-placed Barnet while Rovers take on Aldershot Town at the Memorial Stadium.

Hereford United will be looking to get some points on the board when they host Gillingham at Edgar Street.

Jamie Pitman's side have lost their last two league matches to Shrewsbury and Aldershot, while Gillingham in 13th have failed to win in their last four games.

Elsewhere, Macclesfield Town, who are just three points above the relegation zone, play Northampton Town, who are a point ahead, and Accrington Stanley are at home to Crewe.
