Warnock: Unveiled
Crystal Palace have, as expected, unveiled Neil Warnock as their new manager.
Warnock replaces Peter Taylor at Selhurst Park following his sacking earlier this week.
Taylor was axed by Eagles chairman Simon Jordan after a poor start to the season, with Palace lying in 19th spot in the Championship.
Warnock has been out of work since quitting Sheffield United at the end of last season and he has been keen to get back into management.
The 58-year-old will take charge of Palace for the first time against Blackpool on 20th October.
Palace chairman Simon Jordan believes Warnock is the right man for the job.
"He [Warnock] represents everything I want in a manager," Jordan told Sky Sports News.
"He is a winner, he has a desire to be successful - fuelled by things that have happened to him in the last six or seven months.
"I know Neil is determined to do a good job. I always used to benchmark our progress at Palace by the results we had against Neil Warnock's Sheffield United.
"He gets his players going, he is a manager, he leads.
"I know I have the right man. It is the dream ticket. We both say what we mean and we mean what we say."
