De Vos: Retired
Ipswich captain Jason De Vos has retired from the game - to concentrate on media work in his native Canada.
The central defender, 34, announced his decision after Ipswich's 1-0 victory over Hull at Portman Road.
The result was not enough to get the club into the play-offs, with the Tractor Boys missing out by just one point.
De Vos, who also played for Wigan, Dundee United and Darlington in an18 year career, is now going to work as a football media pundit on Canadian television.
He said: "This was my last game as a professional footballer.
"I've known for a couple of months now that this was going to be my last season. It was a very difficult decision. I just felt the time was right for me to walk away from the game."
Looking forward to his new career, he added: "The football scene in Canada is exploding at the moment.
"There's a real hunger and appetite back home. I'm hoping to pass on what I've learned."
