Ipswich Town defender Matt Richards is returning to Brighton & Hove Albion for a third loan spell.

Richards spent much of last season on loan at Brighton, making 33 appearances for the League One club in two stints.

He has now agreed to rejoin the Seagulls until the end of December after linking up with the club for pre-season training.

Brighton boss Micky Adams is hoping that the left-back can make the same impact as last season at the Withdean Stadium.

Adams told the club's official website: "My coaching staff spoke very highly of Matt when he was here last season.

"He knows the football club and I think it will be a decent signing."
