Supple: New deal
Ipswich Town back-up goalkeeper Shane Supple has signed a new one-year contract to stay at Portman Road next season.
Supple last featured for the club back in August 2008 but has decided to stay under new boss Roy Keane and fight Richard Wright for the No.1 jersey.
He told the club's official website: "I'm delighted to have agreed a new contract at the club.
"I've not signed just to sit on the bench though. I want to play first-team football and I intend to put as much pressure on Wrighty as I can.
"I know he's a top goalkeeper but he knows I'm after his shirt."
Meanwhile, Ipswich have appointed former Liverpool and Sunderland coach Antonio Gomez as a fitness coach at Portman Road.
The 32-year-old worked under Rafa Benitez at Anfield for two years before joining Keane at Sunderland last summer.
He told the club's official website: "I know Roy wants to take this club forward and win a place in the Premier League and I'm looking forward to playing my part in that challenge."
Keane added: "I worked alongside Antonio at Sunderland and know what qualities he can bring. He will be a valuable asset as part of our coaching staff."
