Plymouth remain in trouble towards the foot of the table but will have taken heart from a battling 1-1 draw with in-form Coventry.

Ipswich looked to be on course for an 18th stalemate of the season as they struggled to break down Scunthorpe, in a game which saw both sides reduced to 10 men, but they snatched a dramatic late winner at Portman Road.

Barnsley and Crystal Palace's recent form suggested they might struggle to put on a spectacle and that proved to be the case as they failed to trouble the scorers.

Swansea remain well placed inside the top six but they too drew a blank in a 0-0 draw with Sheffield Wednesday.
