Roeder: Brought in Kienast
Roman Kienast's trial at Norwich City ended abruptly on Tuesday after he limped out of their reserve meeting with Arsenal.
The 24-year-old Austrian forward had been hoping to impress City boss Glenn Roeder against Arsenal's youngsters at Carrow Road.
However, the striker, who is currently on loan with Helsingborgs IF from Ham-Kam, pulled a hamstring just 18 minutes into the match.
Kienast was immediately withdrawn and now the nine-cap Austria international is returning home for treatment.
"I pulled it and couldn't play anymore," he told Hamar Arbeidarblad. "This sums up my 2008 footballing year pretty well.
"I'm going home to Vienna for treatment. I'm aiming to be back at 100 per cent in January."
Meanwhile, Jamie Cureton has hinted he would be interested in leaving Norwich on loan in order to get some games under his belt.
The former Colchester United striker has made just Championship starts this season and has grown unhappy at his current situation.
"Me and the manager have spoken; we spoke about different bits and bobs, maybe if it was right to go on loan," he told the Pink'un.
"No clubs were mentioned, it was just a chat between me and him and if it was best for me and the club that, when I am called upon, if I've been out playing it might be better.
"I need to be playing, that's what I enjoy doing, so it was just a thing that I put to him and we had a decent conversation about it. I think he wants me around. He feels I can still play a part in this season, so I'm more than happy to do that."
