Coleman: Not unduly concerned
Chris Coleman is refusing to panic despite seeing his Coventry side lose their last three matches.
The former Fulham and Real Sociedad boss undertook a ruthless restructuring of his playing ranks in the summer but to date, his changes have reaped mixed dividends.
He is, though, confident that given time his new look Coventry side will work itself up the Championship table.
"First week of the season we win three games and then after that we lose three in a week, so it is not a nice feeling - it never is," he told the Coventry Telegraph.
"We said to the guys before Saturday's game to remember that there is a two week break when we can't do anything if it goes bad for us, so it leaves you with a bad feeling because we are disappointed that we didn't perform better and disappointed in the result.
"It was too little too late and we huffed and puffed but if we are serious about being a team higher in the league we have got to do better than that."
Coleman believes the international break has come at just the right time as he looks to bed his new charges in further, ahead of what looks to be a tough set of forthcoming fixtures against the likes of Preston, Sheffield United and Queens Park Rangers.
"I am not one for working on what went wrong in the last game but rather what we can do right in the next game," he added.
"We have got just less than two weeks building up to the Preston game and they have had a good start to the season, so it's a tough game for us.
"We are in the mid-table and only a point away from the team in fourth and I have said all along, let's be in the top half of the table come Christmas.
"We have got to be looking at between 12 and 15 points every 10 games to be in that top half, first and foremost. But we can't get carried away after just four league games.
"It's two wins and two defeats. We are disappointed with the two defeats but pleased with the wins and there is a lot to work on and a lot to look forward to.
"I don't want to be doom and gloom because we have lost a few games and we have got to be careful that we don't make it like that or turn it into a big crisis.
"No one likes to lose but there is no crisis and it is all to play for."
