Coventry defender Marcus Hall is hoping he has done enough to win a new deal at the Ricoh Arena.

Hall, who is out of contract at the end of the season, is set to learn his fate over his future later this week in a meeting with manager Chris Coleman.

The 33-year-old made his comeback from injury in the 1-0 win against Peterborough at the weekend and he hopes he showed enough in that game to prove he deserves an extended stay.

"Hopefully my performance is a little reminder to the manager that I can still do a job for the club," Hall told the Coventry Telegraph.

"I went to see him (Coleman) last week to see what is happening. I know and he knows I am not always going to be first choice so it is just a case of seeing whether there is anything available.

"He knows I definitely want to stay and he is going to get back to me this week and hopefully I will get a positive answer because I know I can do a bit more here."
