QPR's loan star Adel Taarabt believes the team will be challenging for promotion come the end of the season if they can maintain their fine form.

The Spurs loanee has proved an invaluable capture for Jim Magilton this season with the talented Moroccan excelling for the Championship side.

Three consecutive league wins, including last Saturday's impressive 4-2 away win at Derby, see QPR just outside the play-off positions in seventh.

Tough

Taarabt acknowledges the Championship is a fiercely competitive league, although he believes they will be battling for promotion as long as they can maintain their form.

"Every game in this division is tough," said Taarabt.

"But we are a very confident side and if we can keep this run going, we will be in the picture at the end of the season."
