Leicester City have completed the signing of Dany N'Guessan from Lincoln on a three-year deal.

The 21-year-old has been linked with a move to the Walkers Stadium since the end of the season after catching the club's eye when Lincoln faced the Foxes in the Johnstone's Paint Trophy in September.

Despite the versatile forward leaving on a free transfer the Imps are likely to receive a compensation package due to the fact that the player is under the age of 24.

N'Guessan scored nine goals in 49 games last season for the League Two side and Foxes manager Nigel Pearson can only see the youngster improving.

"Dany is an extremely exciting prospect," he said.

Impressed

"He impressed us during our home game against Lincoln in the Johnstone's Paint Trophy last season and he is a versatile and talented player.

"He is an attacking player by nature. He can play on the left, right or up front, or even just behind the strikers.

"We are certain that the addition of Dany will heighten competition for places and he has the potential to improve."
