Rotherham manager Andy Scott is hoping to keep goalkeeper Conrad Logan at the club beyond his initial loan period.

The 25-year-old has impressed between the sticks since joining the Millers from Leicester on a deal that is set to run until the turn of the year.

The Irish keeper has kept two clean sheets in his first six appearances for the League Two high-flyers and Scott told that he is always looking to improve his side when he can.

"We've only got Conrad until the end of December, so that is something that I'd like to discuss with Leicester about extending it until the end of the season," he said.

"That would require a bit more money, but he has done very well for us so far this season.

"We are also a little short in terms of numbers on the left side of the pitch, so that is another area I will be looking at.

"If a good player becomes available then we will look to bring them in, but they need to fit in with the structure of the squad we have assembled here and at the same time improve us in terms of quality."

Wales international Mark Bradley's future appeared to lie away from the Don Valley Stadium after Scott deemed him surplus to requirements over the summer but, having featured in the last three games, the former Brentford boss insists that the 23-year-old is doing himself no harm with his performances on the pitch.

Scott said: "Mark has done everything that I've asked of him and when he does do something wrong he will correct it as soon as you tell him.

"Jason Taylor had an off day against Gillingham and players do have bad ones from time to time, but Mark came on and did very well.

"His performance against Gillingham earned him the chance to start at Swindon and I can't complain if he keeps it up really."
