Sven Goran Eriksson was satisfied to see Leicester City come from behind to draw at Barnsley, whose manager Keith Hill is pleased with the progress his team are making.

Jacob Butterfield had given Barnsley a first-half lead courtesy of a diving header, but Andy King's equaliser at the start of the second half secured Leicester a point.

The big-spending Foxes have won only two of their first six matches in the Championship, but manager Eriksson was pleased with his team's fightback.

Eriksson, who gave a debut to transfer deadline day signing Jermaine Beckford, said: "It's good to come back especially away from home. I think we are getting better, we didn't lose.

"I thought Darius Vassell and Jermaine Beckford played well together and Andy King came on as substitute and did very well.

"It was good for King to score in the first minute of the second half with his first touch.

Threat

"We didn't create many chances in the first half. We were more of a threat in the second half because we changed the formation at half-time.

"Barnsley created some good chances late on in the second half and our keeper made a couple of good saves."

Barnsley boss Hill was encouraged by his team's display, commenting: "I'm happy with the performance. I'm really encouraged by the progression we have made as a squad.

"The team's not going to change overnight but I am encouraged at the development of the squad.

"We came up with a game plan and it worked. We were expected to lose comfortably against Leicester.

"We should have had three points. Clean sheets win games and we should have kept a clean sheet.

"I am disappointed in the manner they scored. It was just a straight and direct ball."
