Eriksson: Not surprised by reports but insists he is not worrying about being sacked
Leicester City manager Sven-Goran Eriksson says he is not worried about speculation that his job is under threat.
Reports have claimed that the Swede has just five games to save his position at the King Power Stadium following the Foxes' indifferent start to the season.
Eriksson is expected to mount a concerted push for promotion to the Premier League after investing heavily in his squad during the summer transfer window.
He concedes some of his players may be feeing the weight of expectation, but he insists he is not concerned about the danger of being sacked.
"I have not seen the reports but I have been told and I am not surprised," Eriksson told the Leicester Mercury ahead of Saturday's game against Brighton.
"This is football. I am not worried about it. Everything is okay.
"The board have not said anything about that at all, and you go on working and everything is looking forward to the big game on Saturday. That is all that I can do about it.
"We try to as much as possible to shield (the players) from the pressure, but perhaps some of them have felt it a little bit."
