Chesterfield have signed goalkeeper Adam Smith on a month's emergency loan from Leicester to provide cover for the injured Tommy Lee.
The 18-year-old has been brought in by boss John Sheridan and will replace Lee, who is expected to be out for several weeks after he suffered a groin injury during the 1-0 home win over Bury in midweek.
The Spireites are waiting for the results of a scan on Lee's injury and, in the meantime, Greg Fleming will fill the number-one jersey at the b2net Stadium.
Smith joined Leicester from Middlesbrough, where he came through the youth ranks, in October 2010. In March of this year, he was signed on a professional contract by the Foxes until 2014.
Leicester have included a 24-hour call-back clause in the deal, which is due to end on October 15.
