Hull City v
Middlesbro'
Sat 6th Dec - Kingston Communications Stadium
By Phil Jackson
Hull City will be among a number of Championship clubs vying for Tranmere Rovers' Gareth Roberts signature in the summer, according to his agent.
The 27-year-old Welsh defender was the subject of a bid from Peter Taylor's side in the January transfer window which was rejected.
But with his contract set to run out at Prenton Park at the end of the season, the player's representative Simon Haworth believes The Tigers will face tough competition for the player.
"Hull came in for him in the January transfer window, so they'll probably bid for him again," Haworth stated.
"We don't want to name names, but there are a number of Championship clubs interested.
"It's fully deserved as he has been an outstanding talent and is one of the best left backs in the division.
Roberts, who is a former Liverpool trainee, has made 42 League One appearances for Rovers so far this season and has chipped in with two goals.
Tranmere are still not safe in the league, but have a two point advantage over Milton Keynes Dons and the relegation zone, with two games remaining.
