Folan: Fresh terms
Skysports.com understands Hull striker Caleb Folan is set to sign a new deal at the Premier League new boys.
Folan is in line for a new contract as reward for helping the Tigers secure promotion to the Premier League for the first time in the club's history.
The former Wigan and Chesterfield hit-man had a clause in his contract allowing him a new deal if Hull won promotion and now the club are ready to tie down Folan.
Folan's agent, Hayden Evans, confirmed talks were underway over a new deal and he was hopeful of a successful conclusion.
"Caleb is close to signing a new deal," Evans told skysports.com.
"He is entitled to a new deal because of a clause in his old contract.
"We have started dialogue and there is a willingness from both parties to do it.
"I hope we can get things sorted out very soon."
