Brown: Moyes praise
Hull manager Phil Brown is keen to replicate David Moyes as he prepares to go head-to-head with the Everton boss on Sunday.
The Tigers welcome Everton to the KC Stadium looking to move their Premier League points tally into double figures after securing two wins and a draw in their opening four games in the top flight.
Everton have taken only one point less than Hull, and have an impressive record under Moyes.
The former Preston boss took over in 2002 and guided the Toffees to a place in the top four three years later, and Brown sees Moyes as an ideal career role model.
"It is a long season and we are coming up against one of the bigger clubs in the history of the Premier League," said Brown.
"David Moyes has done a fantastic job at Everton, none more so than last season when he almost got them into the top four.
"He has done tremendously. I know Dave very well and he is a very strong character, very forthright in his views, very opinionated. I think his teams play that way, they are strong mentally.
"I'd like to emulate what Davie has done and he has not finished yet. He is still very ambitious, very driven.
"He deserves everything he gets for what he has done at Everton."
Brown also revealed he will be pleading guilty to a Football Association improper conduct charge for kicking a water bottle which struck the fourth official during last month's 5-0 defeat by Wigan.
"I have requested a personal hearing because I wanted to put my point of view across but I will be pleading guilty, with mitigation," he concluded.
