Brown: Out of favour at Hull

Nottingham Forest have dismissed speculation linking them with a loan approach for Hull's Wayne Brown.

The Championship side have endured a difficult start to the new campaign and have openly admitted that they continue to track potential new arrivals.

Veteran defender Brown was believed to be among those targets, with his vast experience signalling him out as a possible short-term fix in the Reds' leaky defence.

The 31-year-old has not featured for the Tigers since a disappointing showing in the 5-0 drubbing by Wigan on 30th August.

He has enjoyed six previous loan stints during a much-travelled career, but Forest chief executive Mark Arthur has ruled out the possibility of him arriving at the City Ground.

"I don't know where these rumours have come from," Arthur said in the Hull Daily Mail.

"We have no interest in him."
