Bradford City's joint chairman Julian Rhodes has rejected rumours linking Dean Windass with a return to Valley Parade.

The 39-year-old striker has made just one Premier League appearance for Hull City this season, leading to reports that he could seek a loan move to his former club Bradford in order to find first-team football.

However, Rhodes has quashed the speculation, explaining that while he speaks with Windass, who has had two spells with the Bantams, the veteran is not set to rejoin the League Two club.

He told the Telegraph & Argus: "We often ring each other and have a joke about him coming back to help us clinch promotion but at the moment there's absolutely no truth in it."
