Mputu: Highly rated
Congolese sensation Tresor Mputu is being tracked by a host of clubs in England, according to his agent.
The 22-year-old is currently on the books of TP Mazembe in his homeland, where he boasts a phenomenal goalscoring record.
He has also taken the African Champions League by storm of late, leading the tournament scoring charts in 2007 despite Mazembe's failure to reach the group stages.
He is widely regarded as one Africa's biggest talents, with a move to Europe seemingly imminent.
"Tresor Mputu is the best striker on the continent right now, he is a very good player," his agent Severin Bohoui told skysports.com.
"There are many teams interested in him but I need to be careful with his career, he needs to go to the right club.
"He would prefer to go to the Premier League and I am in England at the moment to talk with potential clubs.
"There are teams in Germany and France as well, but he prefers the English league."
Mputu underwent an unsuccessful trial at Greek side Olympiakos in May but is understood to be attracting interest from Hull, among others, at present.
