Kamil Zayatte claims he could have left Hull City during the January transfer window and is keen to join a bigger club in the summer.

The Guinea international has been a mainstay of the Hull defence since joining the club from Swiss outfit Young Boys in 2008.

He has a further two years to run on his contract at the KC Stadium and says Tottenham Hotspur and West Ham United both wanted to sign him last month.

The Tigers' demands blocked a move, according to Zayatte, although the 24-year-old is refusing to rule out a summer departure from the Premier League strugglers.

Won't give up

"I almost left Hull during the last transfer window," Zayatte is quoted in the Daily Star.

"Two big clubs, Tottenham and West Ham, were interested, but Hull wanted too much money for me.

"But I won't give up. I'll work hard to regain my form and finish the season strongly, and we'll see what happens in June.

"If all goes well, I see myself at a bigger club than Hull.

"If I could land a move to Manchester United, Arsenal or Chelsea, it would make all Guineans proud of me."
