Hull City winger Stephen Hunt could be forced to postpone a foot operation to help with the Tigers' survival campaign.

The Republic of Ireland international has been struggling with the injury for several weeks and was forced to miss Sunday's 5-1 defeat at Everton.

Tigers boss Phil Brown, though, is confident the injury is manageable at present and insists he could return for this weekend's home clash with Arsenal.

"Stephen Hunt's damage to his foot is one where it needs rest," said Brown.

"It's an ongoing concern but we'll have to deal with it the best we can."

The Gunners' visit could also see the return of two other key members of Brown's squad; Craig Fagan and defender Andy Dawson.

Fagan is back in contention after completing a one-match ban for his sending off against West Ham, while Dawson was forced to miss the game against the Toffees after struggling with asthma.
