Cairney: Set for new deal
Skysports.com understands Hull City starlet Tom Cairney is set to end speculation over his future by signing a new deal.
Cairney's future at the KC Stadium had been the subject of conjecture after former Tigers boss Phil Brown revealed he had been ordered not to talk to Cairney about a new contract by the player's lawyer.
However, it appears the matter has been resolved and the 19-year-old is set to pledge his future to the Tigers.
The highly-rated midfielder has broken into Hull's first-team this season and scored his first goal in the defeat to Everton earlier this month.
A number of rival Premier League clubs were thought to be monitoring Cairney's situation, but Hull have now agreed a new three-year deal with the former Leeds trainee.
Cairney is expected to finalise his new terms in the next few days and the news will come as a massive boost to the club as they battle to avoid relegation.
