Garbutt: Everton claim
Leeds youngster Luke Garbutt has claimed he is on his way to Everton, according to a posting on social networking site Facebook.
The highly-rated left-back, 16, impressed for England's Under-17s during the recent European Championships in Germany.
The Toffees are now poised to make a raid on the Whites, who have lost of number of talented teenagers to Premier League clubs following their fall from grace.
Writing on his own Facebook wall, he said: "Luke Garbutt is moving to Liverpool on Friday."
When asked whether he was joining Everton, he replied: "Yes, yes I'm off on Friday."
Meanwhile, Elland Road manager Simon Grayson says there is little to report on the transfer front, despite reports linking the club with a move for Warren Feeney.
Feeney was being tipped as being the club's second signing behind Jason Crowe, but now Grayson says that the Northern Ireland striker is unlikely to join.
"We knew there would be a lot of rumours and speculation all over the summer, but as it stands there is one in - Jason Crowe - and Peter Sweeney has gone," he told the club's official website.
"There's been no more departures and no new signings, contrary to what people have been reading about. There's been stuff about players allegedly having medicals.
"I've spoken to 10 or 15 players and Warren Feeney is just one of them, but as it stands he won't be a Leeds United player."
Finally, Leeds chairman Ken Bates has been ordered to pay £50,000 libel damages at the High Court to a former director of the club who alleged he was "persecuted".
A judge in London ruled in favour of businessman Melvyn Levi, 65, who brought the action over comments made about him by Bates.
The Whites supremo, who lives in Monaco and was not present for Thursday's judgment, faces a costs bill believed to be around £1.5million.
