Leeds United youngster Tom Lees has agreed a new contract to stay with the League One club until 2012.

Lees has yet to make a first-team appearance for Leeds, but has impressed during a loan spell at Accrington Stanley this season.

The defender has made 30 appearances for the League Two side and Whites boss Simon Grayson feels the 19-year-old deserves a new deal at Elland Road.

Grayson told the club's official website: "Tom is a good young prospect who is learning and developing his game.

"He has done well at Accrington this season and a new contract here will give him further chance to develop his game and gain in experience."
