Leeds closed the gap on League One leaders Norwich to four points with a resounding 4-1 win at struggling Tranmere.

Simon Grayson's men took the lead through Robert Snodgrass after nine minutes, before Jermaine Beckford doubled the visitors' advantage seven minutes later.

John Welsh pulled one back for Rovers, but Luciano Becchio restored the two-goal advantage nine minutes before the interval to end the game as a contest.

Beckford scored his second with 25 minutes remaining to condemn Tranmere to their eighth home defeat of the season.

Play-off hopefuls Millwall and MK Dons both recorded important victories, with Paul Ince's men beating fellow promotion hopefuls Swindon 2-1.

Aaron Wilbraham scored for the Dons after two minutes, before James Tunnicliffe sealed the win after 37 minutes.

Swindon pulled a goal back through Daniel Ward in added time, but it was not enough to salvage a point.

Advantage

Millwall took advantage of the Robins' defeat and moved up to fifth with a 3-1 win at Carlisle, thanks to a Steve Morison brace.

Morison notched his first goal after just 12 minutes and added a second for the Lions 12 minutes from the end.

Danny Livesey grabbed a 90th minute consolation goal for the home side, but Danny Schofield made sure of victory with a goal in added time.

Finally, relegation-threatened Oldham eased past fellow strugglers Leyton Orient 2-0 to move away from the relegation zone.

Deane Smalley and Dale Stephens were on the scoresheet to put the Latics four points clear of 21st placed Exeter.
