Southend have signed defender Scott Malone on loan from Wolves until January.

Malone has yet to play for Wolves' first team but is regarded as a bright prospect for the future.

He has now linked up with Steve Tilson's Shrimpers and will stay at Roots Hall until the New Year.

The 18-year-old left-back was due to play for Wolves' second string on Tuesday but will instead make his Southend debut against Tranmere.
