Horlock: Released by Rovers

Kevin Horlock has left Doncaster Rovers after having his contract cancelled by mutual consent.

The veteran midfielder originally joined Doncaster on loan from Ipswich Town in early 2006 before completing a permanent move on a free transfer.

However, his time at the Keepmoat Stadium has been beset by injury problems and he has not made a first-team appearance since August 2006.

Horlock missed much of last season with a knee injury and then dislocated his shoulder in pre-season.

With Rovers boss Sean O'Driscoll having a wealth of midfield options, Horlock has not been able to break back into the side.

The 35-year-old has now been released from his contract, which was due to expire at the end of the campaign.
