Commons: No talks

Kris Commons has revealed that he is yet to be offered a new contract at Nottingham Forest.

The winger's current deal at the City Ground is due to expire in the summer and he has already attracted interest from Forest's arch rivals Derby County.

Having secured promotion back into the Championship with victory over Yeovil on Saturday, Forest were expected to pull out all the stops to keep their playmaker at the club.

However, it would appear that their unwillingness to get the situation resolved before the end of the current campaign could now see their prized asset walk away as a free agent.

Disappointed

"I have not been offered anything, that is the disappointing thing," Commons told the Evening Post.

"There were a lot of players, like David Prutton and Alan Wright, who were not offered contracts last season.

"There has been nothing sent through the post and they have probably waited a little too long. If they wanted me here they would have offered me one a long time ago."
