Beckford: McAllister hope
Leeds United manager Gary McAllister is hopeful that Jermaine Beckford will be fit to return for Monday's crucial play-off semi-final first leg against Carlisle, live on Sky Sports 1 from 7.30pm.
The 24-year-old striker has been sidelined with an ankle injury since April's 3-2 win over the Cumbrians.
However, after training on Thursday, McAllister is optimistic that United's top-scorer will be fit for the clash at Elland Road.
"We're hopeful about Jermaine. He trained with us on Thursday, then the players are back in Saturday and Sunday before the game," he told the club's official website.
McAllister, who will be without the suspended Alan Sheehan, added: "I know my starting XI."
