Bristol Rovers will release Sammy Igoe and Chris Carruthers in the summer.

Manager Paul Trollope has already outlined his plans to makes changes to his squad as Rovers look to improve for next season, having finished just five points clear of relegation this year.

Igoe, 32, joined the club permanently in 2006 after impressing on a loan spell from Millwall, but was loaned out to League Two side Hereford this season and is no longer part of Trollope's plans.

Former England Under-20 utility man Carruthers, 24, joined the club in 2005 after a successful loan spell from Northampton.
