O'Driscoll: Grounded
Sean O'Driscoll was staying firmly grounded after seeing his Doncaster Rovers side see off Southend at The Keepmoat Stadium.
Rovers brushed aside The Shrimpers in South Yorkshire on Friday night with a resounding 5-1 success in their League One play-off semi-final.
The first leg at Roots Hall had finished goalless, but it came as no surprise to O'Driscoll who saw his side coast home in the second leg.
"We've been performed like that for most of the season, so you've got to score the goals and tonight we scored the goals," he told Sky Sports.
"Sometimes it doesn't happen like that. I'm pleased for everybody.
"The goals were the big difference. A lot of play-off teams struggle in the home legs we just felt we needed to match their determination.
"We thought if we do that. I thought we did that from the first whistle."
James Coppinger was the hero with a fine hat-trick although O'Driscoll just wished it had come in their final game of the season which would have secured automatic promotion.
"I wish he'd have done this at Cheltenham and we'd have saved all this," he continued.
"He's got sublime skills and he just needs to add the end product and he did today."
