Boulding: Now wanted by Cheltenham

Cheltenham Town have joined the hunt to sign Michael Boulding, who is training at Bradford City.

Boulding is leaving Mansfield Town following the club's relegation from the Football League and is wanted by a string of teams.

He trained with Rotherham United last week, while League Two rivals Grimsby Town and Lincoln City have also shown an interest.

The forward is now training at Bradford, but could be offered the opportunity to play League One football in the coming season.

Good player

The Robins are in the market for a striker after missing out on Gary Hooper and manager Keith Downing has confirmed he plans to speak to Boulding.

"I'm doing the best I can to try and get people in and Michael Boulding is one of the players I'm interested in," Downing told the club's official website.

"I'm hoping to speak to him at the end of the week, but there are other clubs in for him and he is training with Bradford City at the moment.

"He is a good player and his goalscoring record last season in a relegated team has obviously got a lot of people interested."
