Yeovil Town have released a statement to quell fears over their financial future.

Speculation had suggested the League One club had found themselves under pressure due to a lack of cash resource, owing to the current economic climate, but this has now been denied.

A statement released on the club's official website read: "Yeovil Town has moved to comment on ill-informed rumours regarding its current financial situation.

"The club is financially secure and is under no pressure in terms of cash resources.

"However, it is conducting its business in accordance with responsible budgetary controls and is carrying out a review of its operations in view of the current economic climate.

"It is true that staff have received a letter informing them there may be changes to their working hours or conditions.

"This does not necessarily mean changes are inevitable. Decisions will be made when the review has been concluded."
