Roeder and Clark: Staying together
Norwich City boss Glenn Roeder has dismissed reports that Lee Clark is on his way to Huddersfield Town as 'wild speculation'.
Reports over the weekend had suggested that Norwich assistant boss Clark was the new favourite to take over at Huddersfield.
League One side Huddersfield are looking for a new manager after parting with Stan Ternent last month and currently have Gerry Murphy in caretaker charge.
The Terriers are closing in on an appointment, but Roeder insists his No.2 Clark has not been approached about the Galpharm Stadium vacancy.
Roeder told the club's official website: "Reports over the weekend and on Monday morning suggesting that my assistant manager Lee Clark is about to join Huddersfield as their new manager are totally unfounded and untrue.
"How these irritating stories start I do not know. I have a very good relationship with Lee. If he was about to join any other club I would know a long time before it got into the media.
"This is just wild speculation and it's very unhelpful.
"Lee is fully committed to myself and Norwich City like all the rest of the backroom staff here. I have assembled the best backroom staff I have ever had and we all know that we need to improve results - but that will be done with the help of the players, staff and everybody at the club, and I stress everybody, pulling in the right direction.
"We are facing our most important match of the season against Ipswich, a game I can assure our supporters everybody at Colney and Carrow Road is working very hard to prepare for and looking forward to greatly."
