Leyton Orient youngster Harry Baker has penned an 18-month professional contract with The O's.

The 18-year-old had been in the second year of his scholarship with the League One club but now moves up into the professional ranks.

Orient boss Martin Ling believes Baker, who made his debut against Brighton in October, has great potential and will soon be knocking on the door for a regular first-term berth.

"We're delighted that Harry has signed a pro contract here at Leyton Orient," Ling told the club's official website. "He is a big prospect and we have high hopes for him.

"He impressed on his senior debut at Brighton earlier this season and I'm sure he'll be pushing for more first-team involvement soon."
