Peterborough have allowed striker Liam Hatch to rejoin League Two side Darlington on loan until the end of the season.

Hatch has scored seven goals in 15 league starts for the Quakers since joining them on loan at the end of August and will now stay with them until May.

He had headed back to his parent club following Saturday's 2-1 win at Bournemouth, but Posh boss Darren Ferguson feels the striker will benefit more from regular first-team football in the North East.

"Liam has gone back to Darlington until the end of the season where he has been in good form," he said.

Meanwhile, Tranmere have confirmed they will conduct a pitch inspection at Prenton Park at 2.30pm on Friday ahead of their weekend clash with Peterborough.
