Wycombe Wanderers have added Queens Park Rangers' veteran winger Gareth Ainsworth to the squad on a one-month loan deal.

Ainsworth has made just two first-team appearances for QPR this season and has accepted the chance of regular football at Wycombe.

He played under Gary Waddock at Loftus Road and the Wycombe boss is confident the 36-year-old will be a valuable signing.

"I know him from my QPR days and he'll give us what we need at the moment - experience and fighting spirit," Waddock told the club's official website.

"He is totally committed and determined to pull us out of the situation we are in and you'll see that when he pulls on the Wycombe shirt."

Ainsworth will go straight into the Wycombe squad for Saturday's League One fixture away to Millwall.
