Swindon are in negotiations with Celtic after the Scottish giants accepted a second bid for Simon Ferry and Paul Caddis.

The Robins had an initial bid for the pair rejected by the Hoops, thought to be in the region of £250,000, but a deal worth around £350,000 plus add-ons has reportedly been agreed.

Midfielder Ferry, 22, spent last season on loan at Swindon and played a major role in a campaign that saw the club reach the League One play-off final.

He is expected to agree personal terms and sign a permanent deal at the County Ground alongside 22-year-old defender Caddis.

Both players were left out of the Celtic squad for the UEFA Champions League qualifying defeat to Braga on Wednesday, which the SPL side lost 3-0.

If they complete their moves they would be available for Saturday's pre-season friendly against Nottingham Forest ahead of next weekend's league opener at home to Brighton.
