Notts County boss Craig Short admitted his team were fortunate to claim a point at Bournemouth in the 3-3 draw.

Josh McQuoid's brace and a Anton Robinson strike had put Bournemouth 3-0 ahead inside the opening half an hour but Ben Burgess hit-back to give County hope before Craig Westcarr and Kevin Smith struck in stoppage time to earn a draw.

But Short was realistic about his side's display, saying they had issues to address in the coming weeks.

He said: "The second half performances this year have been so much better than the first half.

"We know we weren't good enough today and got lucky. I know sometimes you need a bit of luck in the game but we can't keep relying on it.

"The goals were bad - it's not as if they had loads of possession against us and dominated. It could have been five or six but I got them in at half time and said to them let's win the second half."
