Gus Poyet is looking forward to involving his new signings after Brighton lost 2-0 to Leyton Orient in the JPT.

Poyet added Newcastle winger Kazenga LuaLua and Norwegian striker Torbjorn Agdestein to his squad on Tuesday before securing Spanish forward Francisco Sandaza on a free transfer.

The Seagulls now have an 11-day break before their next match and the former Chelsea striker is looking to lift spirits because his side have now exited two cup competitions at the first round stage this term.

Poyet said: "Orient kept a clean sheet and we didn't. We are not dealing with the goals we have let in in the way we should."

He added: "We are very pleased to re-sign LuaLua on loan and this would have been a perfect game for him, but we couldn't sign him in time.

"Francisco is capable of putting the ball in the net and if he does he'll play in every game, it's as simple as that."
